Genshin Impact 3.0 will finally add something the players have been asking for a long time. With Version 3.0 Sumeru, Genshin Impact is rumored to be increasing the Team Slots to include 10 teams instead of the usual 4.
Team Slots in Genshin Impact 3.0
Since the start of the game, Genshin has allowed its players to have 4 Team Comps they can switch between as and when required. The problem is that this was too little and thus rather pointless. With so many characters and character roles, players have needed diverse team comps throughout the game. Sometimes these team comps are just aesthetically chosen based on their character traits, physical traits, or if they belong to the same region.
For more serious, hardcore players, they have Mono-elemental teams, and Reaction based teams such as Vaporise Teams, Physical-Superconduct Teams, Perma-Freeze Teams, Electrocharged Teams, Overloaded Teams, Melt teams, and even One-shot Teams. There are also special teams like the National Team, Morgana Team, and so on. Only 4 Team slots for these many team comps were too less and players found it annoying to keep changing their characters in a team for each of their niche uses.
Recent leaks suggest that Genshin Impact might finally increase the number of Team Slots we have preset and it will make switching between these teams easier too.
As you can see there are further teams you can preset after the fourth one and leakers say they will add up to 10 Team Slots for us to set our different teams. This will not only be convenient but also useful considering how Dendro is expected to change everything in the elemental gameplay of Genshin.
With a total of 7 playable elements in Genshin Impact, players will definitely need more team slots for their different teams. And now that we have variable enemies that drop different materials depending on how they are killed, we will need this many teams to efficiently explore and beat enemies in the overworld.
