Genshin Impact has released official posters for their upcoming Phase II Banners. Both of these are rerun banners of expected 5-star units with Dori being the only new 4-star featured in both of these banners. The other 4-stars have also been revealed and the players are happy we’re getting some great units in the second half of Version 3.0.
Phase II Character Banners Overview
The highlight of Phase II is surprisingly Kokomi due to her recent shot to fame due to the release of Dendro in Version 3.0. Kokomi shines in Bloom comps due to her respectable personal damage, healing abilities and AoE Hydro application. Other than Kokomi the common 4-stars in these two banners are Xinqiu, Sucrose and Dori– all of whom are relevant to the current and upcoming Sumeru patches.
Xinqiu is great for single-target damage and he synergises greatly in Bloom comps. Sucrose is great for crowd control and EM support both of which greatly come in handy in Bloom and Quicken comps. As for Dori, her release will determine her value once we get her first impressions. As a Sumeru character and one meant to be a support and a healer, chances are she’ll synergise well with Dendro.
Ganyu, despite being a meta DPS unit, has reduced relevancy in Sumeru since Dendro does not react with Cryo. That said, she can still be viable in Fridge comps which combines Hydro, Dendro and Cryo for Bloom and crowd control utility.
The 4-stars and 5-stars in the second phase of Version 3.0 are all great characters either in their own right or in relation to Dendro. Players who want constellations for their 4-stars can also pull on these as both Xinqiu and Sucrose have great constellations. These banners go live on the 9th of September, 2022 and will last till the 27th of September, 2022.
