Genshin Impact has released their 2.7 update quite recently, but the works for the next versions of the game are already underway. As leaks have revealed, Hoyoverse has been working on the next update of the game in order to keep players satisfied with more content, as well as version 3.0 which will follow after 2.8.
Leaks in Genshin Impact 3.0: Dendro Archon and Other Sumeru Characters
A reliable leak reveals that there are going to be about fifteen new characters in the game who will be released periodically once the initial Sumeru update has been released. Sumeru is the Dendro location in the game which will contain the Dendro Archon.

So far, the game has three Archons already revealed which are the Anemo Archon, the Geo Archon, and the Electro Archon. There are corresponding places in the game that the player can explore to learn more about the lore behind the Archons as they progress further into the game. The last Archon to be introduced into the game is Raiden Shogun, the Electo Archon, who resides in Inazuma.
As for the leaks concerning the Dendro Archon update, it is speculated that it will be around 6-7 patches long in order to cover all the content that is coming into the game. Here are the names of the fifteen characters that are expected to be introduced into the game:
- Baizhu
- Capitano
- Collei
- Cyno
- Djajeet
- Dori
- Ikhfa
- Kusanali the Dendro Archon
- Layla
- Nafs
- Nahida
- Nilou
- Scaramouche
- Soutine
- Tighnari
Some of these character names were found in the game files, but the rest of them are yet to be confirmed. The ones that were found in the game files are Nahida, Tighnari and Nilou. Out of these fifteen characters, at least two will be male, while the rest are female. It will also contain two new 5-star characters as well as a new 4-star character as part of the Sumeru update.
With so many new characters in the game, it might be difficult to get reruns, so it is advised for players to get the characters that they want before the banners are changed.
