The primary culprit of the error is a related to folder permissions, which can be fixed by running the File & Folder Troubleshooter. Other possible causes include a recent update. You could simply revert the update to fix the error in such a scenario. If the problem occurs due to corruption of files, you can try and fix it by running the SFC and DISM. If nothing works, then you may want to reinstall the Windows. Here are the fix you can try.
Fix 1: Download & Run File & Folder Troubleshooter
Go to the Microsoft website and download the file. Once you have downloaded the file, double-click to launch it.
- After the File and Folder Troubleshooter Window open, click on the Advanced link and select Next
- Check the problems you are encountering such as Problem with deleting files and folders and Renaming or moving files and folders, then click Next
- Allow the process to run and it will automatically fix the issue.

Fix 2: Perform System Restore

Fix 3: Run the SFC and DISM Command in Command Prompt
If the error is caused due to corruption of file, you may try this fix. Here is the process to follow.
- Press Windows Key + R and type cmd
- Next, hit Ctrl + Shift + Enter and select Ok when prompted
- Type sfc /scannow command and hit Enter (wait for the process to complete)
- Once the process completes, restart the system.
When the computer has booted up, check if the Windows Error 0x8007112A is fixed. If not, you can now implement the DISM command.
- Open Command Prompt in Admin mode as we did earlier
- Type the command DISM /Online /Cleanip-Image /RestoreHealth and hit enter (wait for the process to complete and ensure you have a reliable internet)
Restart the system again and check if the error is fixed.
