The dreaded Dev Error 5573 that plagued Warzone and Modern Warfare for the entirety of this year starting from Jan has returned in Vanguard. One of the reasons for this could be the sharing of the same game engine between MW and Vanguard. If you have not seen the Vanguard dev error 5573, wish that you don’t encounter it because going from history, if you see it once, it usually keeps reappearing randomly after updates. As with the previous titles, the Vanguard dev error 5573 also seems to be triggered by specific skins. Keep reading and we will share more info on the dev error and what you can do about it.
Call of Duty Vanguard Dev Error 5573 Fix
As the Call of Duty Vanguard Dev Error 5573 is tied to skins, it affects users on all systems. So far, most of the reports have been from users on PC and Xbox Series X|S. But, from the nature of the error, it can occur with PlayStation devices as well.
While reinstalling the game can reset the bug of shorts and allow you to play the game for a while, it’s not a permanent solution as the dev error 5573 will reemerge. None of the other solutions work as well.
The main cause of this error is the skin you have on. If you have equipped operator outfit and not using the base skin, the error can emerge. As such, the fix for the timbering is to stick to the base skin. If you use only the base skin, the error will not occur.
Also, there are specific items in the game that can trigger the dev error, just like the error in the last title. So far, we have confirmed reports that throwing grenades or call kill streak can lead to the error. If you have not encountered the error yet, go ahead and use these features of the game normally, but if you encountered the error once, note the specific action you were performing.
Dev error 5573 usually occurs while interacting with a bunch of items and it varies from one user to the other. The best fix you can apply is make a note of the action you performed before the dev error appeared, restart the game, and not repeat the same action. You should of course try it the second time to see if that’s actually the cause of the problem, but after that don’t do it until there is news from the devs or the next update for the game.
These errors have a habit of getting fixed in the next patch and remerging with another. The first course of action to fix the Call of Duty Vanguard dev error 5573 is to not use any other skin on the operator besides the base skin or default skin.
I hate repeating (like the previous title), but like the previous title Emblems and Calling Cards can also cause the error. Ensure that they are on base as well.
That’s all we have for this guide, we will update the post when something new emerges. Thanks for reading.
I did all the procedures mentioned on the internet, without any support from Activision support, which in my view was terrible and only leaves us frustrated, but I managed to solve it in a very easy way, installing the Vanguard PS4 version on PS5 (this happens after about 4 days without playing), and in this version I was able to open and access the game, I went there and changed the operators (Skins) and weapons, returning to the defaults. It worked on time.
