Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is a re-release of Insomniac Games’ open-world action-adventure game. The title is now available on PC, and the port was co-created with Nixxes Software. So far, the response has been overwhelmingly positive, with over 60K concurrent players in-game as of this writing. However, a few players have experienced minor technical difficulties.
Supported Controllers
Spider-Man Remastered currently supports the following controllers natively. This means that not only will these be supported, but you will also receive the appropriate button prompts for each of these.
DualSense (PlayStation 5)
The DualShock 4 (PlayStation 4)
Xbox One and Xbox 360 XInput controllers
Deck of Steam
In the case of DualSense, you must use it in wired mode to take advantage of all haptic features.
How to Fix Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered Controller Not Working on PC
Despite the fact that Spider-Man Remastered natively supports a wide range of controllers, some Steam users are having trouble getting their controllers to work. This is incompatible with Steam Input because the game itself includes dedicated profiles by default.
You can use them easily by following the steps below.
- Launch Steam and then your Library.
- Right-click on Spider-Man Remastered and select Properties.
- Choose Properties
- The library allows you to access the properties of various Steam games.
- Now, on the left, select CONTROLLER.
- Select OVERRIDE FOR SPIDER-MAN from the dropdown menu.
- Select “Use default settings” (or Disable Steam Input)
- Using the default settings on PC will resolve the Spider-Man Remastered Controller issue.
We’re hoping for more controller support, such as the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, but you can use Steam Input for that.
Overall, it’s commendable that Nixxes and Insomniac went out of their way to create such a fantastic port with so many options.
