The recent Cottage Living expansion to Sims 4 caused a few issues with the game including the Wicked Whims mod not working. It isn’t the first time this mod has stopped working after a recent patch or content update to the game. Even though the user is on the latest version of the game and the mod, it’s not working on the game. If you think your situation matches what I described, I may have a few solutions to get the mod to work. Stick with the post and we will help you fix the Sims 4 Wicked Whims not working issue.
How to Fix Sims 4 Wicked Whims Not Working
If the Wicked Whims is not working after the latest patch to the game, there can be various reasons for it. The first, ensure that the mod itself is updated to work with the new game. At the time of writing, there is an update available for the mod. So, ensure that the mod is updated to the latest version. Before you install the latest version, ensure that you have removed the old version completely or it could conflict and the mod may not work. Go to your saves and delete the Wicked Whims folder. Choose to replace when installing.
Another key thing to note is that when the game is updated the script mods are auto disabled, so ensure that you have enabled the script mod. To allow script mods, you need to open the game, head to the Game Options, then Others and you should see the Allow script mods option.
Another solution for the issue is to delete the GameVersion.txt or install the older version of the game and update when you know the issue has been fixed.
Failing the above solutions, there may be something wrong you are doing during the installation process. Check out the common installation mistakes here.
