There can be several reasons why you are experiencing Redfall weapons upgrade not working issues such as bugs, outdated gamer version, or missing or corrupted game files. Thankfully, we have got some potential methods to get rid of this issue.
1. Restart the Game and Your Device
The first and easy method we recommend to fix this issue is to simply restart the game as well as your gaming device. If the weapon upgrade is not working for you due to a minor glitch, it will get fixed automatically after restarting the game and/or device.
2. Repair the Game Files

To add a .exe file to the exception list (Whitelist):
– Press the Win + I key on your keyboard and go to Windows settings
– Click on “Update & Security (For Win 10) or click on “Privacy & Security” and then click on “Windows Security”
– Then click on Virus & threat protection >> Manage ransomware protection >> Allow an app through controller folder access and click on ‘Yes’ >> Add an allowed app >> Browser apps >>
– Next, navigate to the Redfall game installation folder. If the game is installed on the C drive, open C drive >> Program Files (x86) >> Steam >> steamapps >> common >> Redfall
– In the game installation folder, select the game’s .exe file and click on “Open”
– Click on “Add” to add the game’s .exe as an allowed app
