GeForce Experience is an essential part of the GTX graphics cards. It allows the program to suggest driver updates and the optimum settings for the games installed on your computer. However, a fault or error with the GeForce Experience can hinder the experience of the user. If you are facing the Nvidia GeForce Experience error code 0x0001, there can be a bunch of causes.
Some of the reasons you face the error code 0X001 are a bug with the GeForce Experience client, when the Telemetry services or other services are not interacting with the desktop if the Nvidia folders don’t have the necessary permissions, and file or driver corruption.
The resolution to this error is pretty simple and we will guide you step-by-step. As the causes can vary from one user to the other, we recommend that you try all the solutions until the error code 0X001 disappears.

Install Beta
A lot of users were able to fix the problem after installing the new beta. As the error 0x0001 is a widespread problem, there might be a fix in the beta release which does not exist in the stable version. - Among the programs, locate the NVIDIA GeForce Experience, right-click and click on Uninstall/Change.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to completely uninstall the GeForce Experience.

After the installation completes, run the program and check if you still encounter the error. If it still appears, follow the next fix.
Fix 3: Allow NVIDIA Container Services to Interact
with the Desktop
This error also occurs when the NVIDIA Telemetry Container or other NVIDIA containers does not have the permission to interact with the Desktop. Here are the steps to grant access.

- Locate NVIDIA services and select any one service.
- Right-click and click on Properties

- Click on Apply and OK
- Follow the same step for all the NVIDIA services.
Now, check if the application is working and the Nvidia GeForce Experience error code 0x0001 is still occurring.
Fix 4: Make Sure NVIDIA Folders are Owned by System
If the NVIDIA folders do not have the sufficient permissions this error can arise. Users were able to fix the problem by changing the ownership of the folder to System. For this step to be effective, you will need to change the permission for all the NVIDIA folders on your system. Here are the steps to do that.
- Go to C drive > Program Files (x86)
- Locate the folder named NVIDIA Corporation
- Select the folder, right-click and click on Properties
- Go to Security tab and click on Advanced
- Ensure the Owner is designated as SYSTEM.
- If it isn’t, click on Change
- Under Enter the object name to select, type SYSTEM and click OK
- Check Replace owner on subcontainers and objects and click on Apply and OK
- Once you have done this, you need to follow the same process for the NVIDIA Folder located in Local Disk (C:) > Program Files.
- So, go ahead and do that.
- Restart the system and check if the NVIDIA GeForce Experience error code 0x0001 still appears.
Fix 5: Perform a Clean Installation
If the above methods have failed to fix the 0x0001 error, a clear install might work. Several users reported resolving the problem after they performed a clean install of the software. Here are the steps to do that.
- Uninstall all GeForce drivers following the steps indicated in Step 2
- Download the latest drivers from the official website
- When installing choose Custom (Advanced) and check Perform a clean installation
- Once the installation process is over, check if the problem still arises.
