Fix Mafia Definitive Edition Game Locked at 60 Hz

Fix 1: Disable Fullscreen Optimization
If the game is set for full-screen optimization, it can lead to crash, not launching, and the game locked at lower resolution. As such you must disable the full-screen optimization. You can also provide the game with admin permission, often that’s another cause for a range of other errors. As both settings are located at the same place, the procedure is simple and straightforward.
In order to perform the above two fixes, go to the desktop shortcut of the game or the .exe and right-click, select Properties. Now, go to the Compatibility tab and check Disable fullscreen optimization and check Run this program as an administrator. Click Apply and Ok to save the changes.
You must now be able to play fullscreen at 144 Hz.
Fix 2: Set the Game to Windowed Borderless
Setting the game to Windowed and Borderless is also something that’s worked to resolve this error. For this you have to go to the options menu and enable Windowed and Borderless. You can also set this from the Steam Client.
- From the Steam Library, right-click on the game and select Properties
- Go to the Local Files tab and click on SET LAUNCH OPTIONS
- Type -windowed –noborder
- Press Ok and exit.
The two solutions should resolve the Mafia Definitive Edition game locked at 60 Hz.
Fix Mafia Definitive Edition HDR Not Supported
Currently, there is no workaround for the HDR option not appearing for PC users. Although, the HDR option is available for console, it seems the developers have not added it for PC. We can only hope that the developers fix this issue in an upcoming update to the game.
