The best and most effective method to fix this problem is to disable SMT (Simultaneous Multithreading) from BIOS or AMD Ryzen Maser Software. To do this, below are the steps:
1. First of all, reboot your PC
2. Press the F2 or Del keys and enter them into the BIOS
3. Go to Advanced Settings >> CPU Configuration
4. Disable SMT from “SMT Control”
5. Once done, relaunch the game and you will not face the FPS drop issue while playing League of Legends.
This is a temporary solution you can try until the developer releases a hotfix. Thankfully, Riot Games is well aware of this issue and they said – “This is actually a known issue with AMD processors and graphics cards that we are investigating. We don’t have any ETAs on a fix for this as of now, but hopefully, we can see one in a patch/update in the near future.”
