Since the rolling out of the new iPhone 14 series, the fans have been incredibly pumped to get their hands on the new sets of flagship phones by Apple. However, on using these new phones, users have found that the display seems to be dimming by itself when auto-brightness was turned off. But fret not fans of Apple, for we have brought to you an easy and quick fix so that you do not have to face this bug anymore.
What is the cause of the display dimming?

- Turning down the max brightness seems to fix this issue for some users. Keeping the phone on max brightness during a hot day can lead to overheating issues which bottlenecks the phone’s performance. Try keeping it at 70-80% brightness instead of 100%.
- As discussed above, the sun causes all electronic devices to heat up when directly under it quickly. As the phone will quickly heat up, it will try to lower its brightness to lower the temperature for the safety of your device. It is suggested not to use the phone under direct sunlight,
- We have all been there. Your battery is too low, but there is some urgent work that you must do on your phone. You probably ended up working on your phone while charging in this scenario. You must also have noticed that when using demanding apps, the phone seems to heat up quickly while charging. Even playing games or using heavy editing apps will do the trick. It is advised not to do so while charging the phone to avoid overheating issues.
- Using demanding apps such as recording a video on 4k and playing graphically heavy games like Call of Duty and Genshin Impact seem to cause heating issues on the new iPhone, which dims the brightness. The solution is to close these apps for some time to allow your device to cool down a bit.
