Overall, Guilty Gear Strive is a success with Very Positive review on Steam and topping the charts even prior to release. However, players on PC may not be having the best time with the game. There are all sorts of graphical problems with the game. Some of the most reported includes the Guilty Gear Strive Pixelated Game, Aliasing, and Graphics issues. Prior to the release of the game, the developer Arc System Works had warned of not running the game in 4K and that certain scenes in the game can cause server problems and lag. The issues most likely would affect players who do not meet the system requirements to play the game.
But, users who far exceed the requirements to play the game are also met with the pixelated game issues. If you are one of them, there are certain things you can do to improve the performance of Guilty Gear Strive.
How to Fix Guilty Gear Strive Pixelated Game, Aliasing, and Graphics Issues
There are a number of reasons that can cause Guilty Gear Strive to appear pixelated and blurry. One of them is the default render scale which is at 90%. Bring it up to 100% and that may resolve the issue. However, some settings of the game does not apply when the changes are made to setting. Here is what we suggest:
- Go to %LOCALAPPDATA%\GGST\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
- Open engine.ini
- Add the below lines.
[ConsoleVariables]
r.ScreenPercentage=200
After the change, make the file Read Only.If that does not resolve the issue, then, try TAA instead of MSAA.
If the problem still persists after the above changes, you may have to wait for the developers to fix the issue. If you have a solution that we didn’t cover or would like to add something about the game or the issue, use the comments section below.
