Cyberpunk 2077 was touted as the biggest game of the year and it’s proven to be the most bugged. There is even the danger of a class action lawsuit against the developers for releasing the game in this state. With all the hype and the recent release, one would image that the game would top the Christmas charts, but the game has slid to third here in the UK. With that said, a bug that’s emerged fairly recently is the Cyberpunk 2077 can’t pick up loot bug.
Players on Reddit and CD Projekt Red forum have opened multiple thread complaining of the bug where they cannot pick up pick-able items in the game. Fortunately, you don’t have to wait for a fix from the developers to resolve the glitch. We have some solutions shared by the ever active gaming community that can potentially resolve the bug. Fix Cyberpunk 2077 Can’t Pick Up Loot Bug
Looting lies at the core of Cyberpunk 2077, but being unable to pick items from defeated enemies or all around the Night City and other districts takes away the fun of the game. If you’re caught in the bug, you will want it fixed soon.
There are two different types of Cyberpunk 2077 can’t pick up loot bug that’s preventing players from picking up loot in the game. The first is a visual bug that allows the player to pick the item, but the item still appears on the ground. Even though the item is picked by the players, it confuses them into thinking the item isn’t. The second bug is more serious as the player fails to interact with the item and hence, cannot pick or access the item.
If you are in the first group of players with the visual bug, the solution is pretty straightforward, check your inventory and if the item is there, you have picked it up, move on with the story.
However, the second bug is difficult to fix and you can try saving the game and then loading it to see if the loot appears, but there are mixed reports of it working. As for a permanent solution, it can only come from the developers, we hope the issue is addressed in an upcoming patch.
