Fix 1: Launch the Game in Safe Mode
In the first part of the fix, you need to reboot the system in safe with networking. Here are the steps for Windows 10.
- Press the Windows Key and click on the Power button
- Hold Shift and click on Restart
- Windows will present you with a few options, choose Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart
- Once the Windows reboots, it will again prompt with a few options
- Select Safe Mode with Networking and hit Enter.

Set the game to Windowed. Here are the steps to do that.
- After launching the game, from the main menu, click on Settings > Graphics tab
- Click on the Display Mode and change Fullscreen Borderlessto Windowed.
Restart the system and disable Safe Mode. When the system has started normally launch the game and the error should have disappeared. You can now restore the Display Mode and set it to Fullscreen Borderless.
Fix 2: Download and Replace the Players2 Folder After Modification
For players who were unable to fix the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Remastered PC Out of Memory Error can try this method to resolve the error.
- Download the Players2 file from our Google Drive.
- Rename the ‘4527561’ file to your personal Blizzard Account ID.
- Save the changes and place the folder in your Game folder. Put it where Data and Main are located but not in the same folder that has another file with the same name.
