With every new update, there is always something that’s messed up in Valhalla. AC Valhalla is an amazing title and one of the pinnacles of the series, but it’s also a game that has a range of bugs. Some have existed with the game for a long time. With most bugs, there is always something that works to bypass like loading a previous save, exiting the area, etc. Hopefully, there is something you can do for the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Ireland/Dublin sleeping loop bug.
How to Fix AC Valhalla Bug “Going to Ireland causes a looped cut scene of Eivor going to sleep”
The AC Valhalla sleep loop bug affects players who go to Ireland, either fast travel there or otherwise. The bug started to appear after the recent patch 1.3.0. After the update, if you so much as head back to Dublin, a cutscene will kick in that cannot be skipped and Eivor will go to bed. Once he goes to bed, the bug starts, and Eivor is stuck in a sleep loop.
Making the game stuck at the point and you won’t be able to continue further. The only way to get out of the sleep loop is to exit the game to the menu, but if you return to the game, you will find yourself in the game loop. Even restarting the game does not help with the bug.
The only way to get out of the bug and the sleeping is to load another autosave that’s not in Dublin. At the time of writing, it does not appear there is any way to explore Ireland without triggering the bug. The good news is the development team is aware of the bug and working on a solution.
While the issue should have been caught during testing since it’s such a major bug and makes a large map completely unplayable, there is nothing we can do on our end. Let’s hope that the devs address and include the fix in the update that’s coming with the next expansion.
For those of you that are unaware, the next expansion The Siege of Paris comes out on 13th.
