Apex Legends is an extremely popular free-to-play battle royale hero shooter game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. Although this game offers exciting characters, unmatched FPS movement, and excellent gunplay, it has a few bugs and glitches. Recently, many players reported that they receive a “Game version does not match host, join failed” error.

According to reports, it has been noticed that players are running into this particular error right after the latest update which was released on February 28, 2023. Thankfully, we have come across a few potential solutions to fix Apex Legends’ “Gamer version does not match host, join failed” error.

How to Fix Apex Legends Game Version Does Not Match Host, Join Failed Error

Before you start any of the following workarounds, try using any other account if you have one and check if you are still receiving the same error message in that account as well. In addition, also try updating your game to the latest version. If that does not help to resolve this error, then here we show you all potential solutions to fix this error.

1. When you encounter this error, the very first thing, you need to do is to make sure of the current server status of Apex Legends. If the servers are down due to any reasons, then the error will be gone once the servers are back online.

2. If the servers are running fine, then the next thing you can do is simply restart your gaming device and check if the error is resolved.

3. Besides, try restarting your internet router/modem and check. In addition, you can also try turning it off and waiting for about 30 seconds, and then turning it back ON.

4. Some missing or corrupted game files can also cause this error and so the next solution we suggest is to verify the integrity of game files. To do so:

– Launch the EA Desktop app

– Go to Apex Legends

– Select Manage and then Repair

– Once the repairing process is done, try launching the game again

5. If you have selected the region with high ping, you might face this error. If that is the case, try changing your region and check if that makes any difference. For this: Go to the Data Center tab >> select any other region with a low ping.

That’s everything you can try to fix Apex Legends game version does not match the host, and a failed error.
