If you were smitten by Bruce Campbell’s Ash Williams from Ash vs. Evil Dead, then you can unlock him as a playable character after completing a peculiar mission. Here we will see how to complete the If You Love Someone, Set Them Free… With A Chainsaw mission in Evil Dead, The Game.

After killing Ash’s true love, Linda, you will have to help him find the rest of her and lay her to rest, which includes finding her necklace and her head. To begin the mission, head to Knowby Cabin to collect weapons and supplies to help you keep the evil you will encounter at bay. From here, head to Bronson Cave in the northwest to find Linda’s necklace. Use your chainsaw to tackle all the initial Deadites that you will encounter along the way, and use the road instead of the hidden paths to get there quicker. There is a torch at Bronson Cave’s entrance that you can use to bring down Ash’s fear meter before heading inside. Head left once inside and use your shotgun to take down the mini-boss in the area. You will find the necklace here.
Now all that is left to find is Linda’s head, which was buried by Ash. You will need to get your hands on a shovel first, which you can get if you head south towards Circus Cages. After investigating Circus Cages and getting the shovel, head further south towards the Demonic Treehouse to find the head. There is a light at the top of the Treehouse that you can use before starting a long battle with the Deadites. Head to the location where the head is buried to dig it up, then brace yourself to fight off six opponents. Use your shotgun to take them down, and drink Shemp’s Cola to recover.
Your last location would be Payne Manor, a few steps to the south of where you were. There are two legendary weapons you can grab here, a chainsaw and a shotgun, but you will encounter enemies in the area as well. You will find one deadite in the main lobby of the Manor, and another one hiding near the backdoor, who will appear once you take the stairs to head up.
Once you have looted the place, head back to Knowby Cabin, while using the light source under the bridge to lessen your fear level. You need to be prepared to fight off Henrietta and other minions on your way to the toolshed. You can now use your improved chainsaw and shotgun to bring them down. Once defeated, head into the toolshed and place Linda’s head on the vice to give her a fitting goodbye. You have also now unlocked Ash as a playable character in the Evil Dead.
