You can find the Elder Dragon Greyoll in Dragonbarrow in the Caelid region. She is a dragon infected with scarlet rot that disables her movements. Upon meeting her, you will find her five offspring first, who will try to defend her. She is an optional boss, and upon her defeat will drop Runes and 5 Dragon Heart. Here is how to defeat her.

You can summon an ally or Spirit Ash for this fight
Your main objective is not Elder Dragon Greyroll herself, but rather her five offspring. For each offspring defeated you will take out a massive chunk of her health automatically
The Greyroll doesn’t cause any damage by herself, and her only way of defense is to roar and alert nearby dragons.
Use any weapon or spell that can inflict bleed, frostbite, and fire damage
You can directly aim for the Greyroll’s head, tail, and legs while letting your Spirit Ash distract the smaller dragons.
The smaller dragons only have two forms of attack, lung or stomp, when you come close. These are predictable and can be dodged.
They can lunge at you from up in the air, during which case keep looking at the area of landing to dodge.

The Greyroll is quite an easy boss to take down if you directly hit her instead of going through her children. It won’t take much time to defeat her, and you can enjoy your rewards right after.
