Meat on a Stick
This food item can be cooked with 3 Meat and 1 Mangrove Stick. Look towards the shore of islands to find mangrove trees, and chop them down with an axe to get the sticks. You can get meat by killing Emus and Roos. When eaten, it restores 35 health and 15 stamina, and additionally gives you 3 minutes of extra defense points. If you want to sell this item instead, it is quite worth it at 1,612 Dinks.
Fruit Salad
This recipe calls for four types of fruit, and depending on the biome that you have chosen to live in, one or more of the fruits might be a little far away from you. Generally, apples are found in the dark green biome, while the other three — Bush Lime, Bananas and Quandongs — are found in the regular green biome. You will need 2 of each of these fruits. This restores 10 health, 20 stamina and boosts your defense for 5 minutes. If you want to sell it, it will fetch you 1,388 Dinks.
Even if you don’t plan on eating these food items, you should make them if you’re hunting and foraging anyway, as you can sell them in large numbers to John and profit.
