FromSoftware and Bandai Namco Entertainment’s upcoming action role-playing game Elden Ring is scheduled to be released on 25th February 2022. It will be available on Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
Crossplay or Cross-Platform play is one of the most common and popular features of multiplayer video games. It allows players to play with their friends using different platforms. Elden Ring is also a multiplayer game and players are curious to know if Elden Ring will provide the Crossplay feature or not. In this article, we’ll discuss if Elden Ring will support Cross-Platform play or not.
Elden Ring Supports Crossplay/ Cross-Platform Play or Not?
Nowadays most video games support Crossplay or Cross-Platform Play. In the free-trial version of the game, we’ve found that the game has a cross-gen version available means the Xbox One players can play with Xbox series X/S users and the PS4 players and PS5 players can play together. However, the game to date doesn’t support Cross-Platform play means PlayStation and Xbox players cannot play together.
Bandai Namco Entertainment, while doing a network test, announced that the final-game Crossplay feature may or may not be the same as the trial version. So, there is a chance that the final version of Elden Ring will support the Crossplay feature. It’ll be disappointing if the full version also doesn’t support the Crossplay.
Another equally disappointing thing is that Elden Ring is going to be released on PC but there is no Network Test PC Version until now. However, it is entirely the developer’s and the publisher’s decision, fans can only wait to see what will come on 25th February 2022. Because the crossplay is not available in the trial version, fans are hoping to get it in the final version of the game. Crossplay is a vital feature for multiplayer games that players like the most. However, if Elden Ring final version will feature it or not will be seen on February 25th, 2022.
