Luckily, the gist of the Crystal isn’t that complicated. It does not unlock any secret area or be used in crafting, rather it is another type of in-game currency. Disorder Crystals are Tier 1 rewards after completing a Chaos Dungeon. You can only trade them with vendors situated at or near these Chaos Dungeons. You can find one near the Vern Castle Zone in northern Vern.
You can use your Disorder Crystals to buy yourself some useful equipment. Some of the items you can get in exchange for them are Stone Fragments, Harmony Leapstones, Harmony Shards, Jewelry, and Engraving Books.
If you have not yet unlocked Chaos Dungeons, you can only get them at the end game, after reaching level 50 and completing all the main story quests. You will get other optional quests later on that will unlock the Chaos Dungeon, like completing Ealyn’s Request.
