In the latest game from Disney and Pixar, Dreamlight Valley combines leisure with excitement to provide a one-of-a-kind interactive experience. Players will customize their avatars while completing quests and exploring this captivating world designed just for them. This exhilarating game is unlike anything you’ve ever played before. As players progress through missions alongside their favorite Disney and Pixar characters, time begins to blend together so that hours fly by without realizing it – something we can’t get enough of.
The mermaid princess Ariel is one of many NPCs Dreamers can unlock while journeying through Disney Dreamlight Valley. She comes with a few quests attached to her, which take some doing to complete, but nevertheless, they’re worth it. Unlike most other NPCs who need you to venture off to different lands, she has her own special task for you, but it doesn’t take long at all.
Let’s see in this guide how to unlock ariel.

Unlocking Ariel in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To unlock Ariel, you’ll first need to open Dazzle Beach and the Glade of Trust. Once you’ve unlocked both locations, go back to Dazzle Beach and find Skull Rock – a strange rock that looks like it was once home to an ancient pirate settlement. Next to this eerie stone statue is an old boat – what remains from when pirates sunk their ship here long ago. Interact with the boat wreckage, which initiates The Mysterious Wreck quest.
Once you start the Mysterious Wreck quest, you’ll be notified to talk to Goofy about the wrecked raft called the Glade of Trust. Once you give him the mysterious paddle, he will ask for different items like:
- 30 Hardwood
- 7 Rope
- 25 Clay
- 10 Iron Ingot
As you might have guessed, when given this task, it would require gathering all of the necessary materials. Once this task is completed, make your way back to Skull Rock Island and repair the raft. When successful, you will receive an achievement award that marks the completion of The Mysterious Wreck quest. Afterward, use the newly restored raft to travel to another island, which will initiate The Lonely Island quest.
Here, you will interact with The Little Mermaid or Ariel. You will be responsible for rebuilding Ariel’s Sea Castle in particular. The sea castle may be placed anyplace near a body of water. Afterward, you may greet Ariel in the valley and snap a photo with her. You do not need to construct her house; only set the building area for it, and she will arrive.
