Bandai Namco and developer Hyde blend visual novel features with turn-based tactics to create a new chapter in the venerable monster-taming series. Many fan favourites are cut, with over 100 Digimon represented in the game.
Guilmon, the Fire Virus Digimon, is one of them. He is also playable. However, he is not widely available in the game. Here’s how to get Guilmon in this guide.

Getting Guilmon in Digimon Survive
The reptile-like red monster, Guilmon, may be obtained in two ways.
- The first choice for the digital edition is the Month One Digital Edition. It’s nothing unusual; users simply need to buy the game digitally on their preferred platform before the end of August. This gives you access to Guilmon from the start. This may be confirmed by starting the game and navigating to the menu, where players will be alerted that they have obtained and downloaded the critter.
- The second choice is for physical copies, which include console versions. Unlike the digital edition, Digimon Survive will not be downloaded if purchased within a month of its release. Instead, a code will be included with the game box that may be used to redeem Guilmon. This should allow you to utilise the character in the game.
Players will be able to employ Guilmon in combat, just like other monsters. It may also Digivolve according to the player’s decisions, which is one of the game’s main attractions.
This brings us to the end of our guide of getting Guilmon in Digimon Survive. Continue reading additional guides for more information about the game.
The game is also available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows platforms.
