The onset of a new season in Destiny 2 – Season of Arrivals – brings a lot of exciting things and a new weekly quests, Means to an End. The season 11 is a build up for the next expansion in the game which starts at the end of the current season on 22 Sept. Meanwhile, the Means to an End quest requires you to farm Umbral Traces. The resource will not be visible in your inventory, but as you explore certain areas you will be able to pick them up.
Three areas in particular will provide you the Umbral Traces – Weekly Nightfalls, Nightmare Hunts, and Crucible Control. And these are the only locations in Destiny 2 Season of Arrivals where you can get the resource and complete the season.
As this is a weekly quest, the objective will vary each time to obtain the Umbral Tracers.
For players who like person vs environment quests, the Nightfall: The Ordeal and Nightmare Hunts is the best option. To complete the mission, you can go to the Director and then Vanguard, and there you should be able to access the mission. The minimum requirement for players is two, so have a mate accompany you. Nightmare Hunts is also an option available and you can get it on the Moon.
For players who like to take on enemy Guardians, you can go with Crucible Control. Just keep taking part in the events, kill the opponent guardians and you should get plenty of Umbral Tracers.
Before you set on your path, you would want to visit Zavala or Shaxx, they will provide bounties you can complete along the way. Although they would not help you obtain Umbral Tracers, they will provide rewards and points to level you up. So, that’s all we have in this guide.
