Following CD Projekt Red’s increased commitment to improving and supporting Cyberpunk 2077 throughout the years following its release, the developers have released a massive update to improve the experience in the game. This new update marks version number 1.6 for the game. It is titled and inspired by the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
Several new weapons, gigs, and outfits have been added to the game with this update. Alongside these updates, some easter eggs related to the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners series have also been added to the game. These include equipment and Photo Mode features. The update will feature the last Cyberpunk content to be released on the last-gen PS4 and the Xbox One. Going forward, all Cyberpunk 2077 expansions and DLCs will be released on the current-gen consoles and PC.
All new updates coming with Cyberpunk 2077 1.6 update
With the new update, gamers will get access to three new gigs in the game. They are:
- Concrete Cage Trap
- Desperate Measures
- Nasty Hangover
Gamers will also get access to six new firearms. These include:
- VST-36 power shotgun
- Kyubi power assault rifle
- Hypercritical Iconic Precision Rifle
- Kappa smart pistol
- Senkoh LX tech submachine gun
- MA70 HB power light machine gun
Five new melee weapons are also being added to the game.
- Claw axe
- Cut-O-Matic chainsword
- Razor macheete
- Neurotoxin knife
- Punknife
Alongwith these new items, gamers will get access to create up to six outfits in the game without changing the armor. These appearance options can be accessed via the wardrobe in any of V’ apartments and safehouse.
Overall, the Edgerunners update will give Cyberpunk a massive content boost. A bunch of new items and DLCs have been promised by the developers. The developers are fully committed towards making Cyberpunk an enjoyable experience and this massive update almost two years from the game’s release is a proof.
