Using bait in Coral Island requires you to first acquire a basic fishing pole from Sunny’s Beach Shack, where you will be given both a fishing pole and bug-catching net for free when you complete Visit the Beach Shack Quest.
After you have acquired a fishing pole, you simply need to find a body of water in-game, and you can even choose the pond that is directly to the right of your Farmhouse if you wish to fish. Now to use bait in Coral Island:
- Open your inventory.
- Click on the bait.
- Now drag the bait to the top left of the equipment column in the inventory and align it.
- Now the bait will be hooked to your fishing pole.
Once you have equipped your fishing rod, hold down the left mouse button. A meter will appear on the screen, and the longer you hold down the button, the further you will be able to cast your line. To cast your line, click on the left mouse once, and if you want to cast it further out, hold it down longer.
Having cast the line, you have to wait for the fish to catch the bait in Coral Island, as there is no fixed time frame for when fish will arrive, so you will have to wait for some time until you are able to catch some fish.
