Call of Duty: Warzone is headed towards smartphones. After the success of Call of Duty: Mobile, the developers are bringing the classic Warzone experience from consoles and PC to mobile devices to be experienced on the go. The game has now been listed on Play Store and is available for pre-registers.
More details on Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile and how to pre-register
Warzone Mobile will strictly be a battle royale title for smartphone devices. Players will get dropped off on a constantly shrinking map with toxic gas encroaching from all sides. The game will have no multiplayer mode unlike the current Call of Duty: Mobile.
However, Activision did not show off much information with the Play Store listing. The game will presumably be set in the original Verdansk map in which Warzone was set in its first few months.
Gamers do not know whether like Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone will feature cross-play between Android, console, and PC players. However, cross-play between different smartphone operating systems, like Android and iOS, will likely be supported.
Like the PC and console game, Warzone Mobile will come with a massive 120-player lobby. The game will also come with shared progression.
The Google Play Store listing does not give us a lot of glimpses of the upcoming game. Activision has been tight-lipped about Project Aurora, which is Warzone Mobile’s development name, ever since the game surfaced on the internet.
No official information has been released on the game’s release date yet. However, considering how recent the developments surrounding this title are, it is likely that gamers are still months away from playing this game on their smartphones.
Gamers who pre-register Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile today on the Play Store will get to play the game early, as per the listing. This upcoming battle royale title is one of the most anticipated titles in the mobile gaming market.
