The new season in both Warzone and Black Ops Cold War was filled with excitement as the rumors of COD: Vanguard’s reveal was expected in the game, but that’s not all. Season 5 also promised to introduce new maps and the best of all-new weapons. The weapons introduced were the TEC-9 and EM2. However, early user experience suggests that the TEC-9 is broken in almost all aspects and excessively overpowered. While both the weapons are overpowered, the TEC-9, in particular, is devastating if you are on the other end of it.
Why the Black Ops Cold War TEC-9 needs to be nerfed and when will it happen?
While the TEC-9 is a powerful weapon in itself and comparable to EM2, its power significantly increases when paired with some attachments such as the Full Auto Repeater muzzle. The amount of damage the gun can deal is absolutely devastating.
It feels like the gun has no recoil and all the shots always hit the target on the chest. If the firepower was not enough, the TEC-9 has a ridiculous range able to hit players far off than any other weapon in its class. The 3 shot kill range can make it very easy for the bearer of the weapon to clear enemies.
We all know that such a powerful weapon cannot exist in the game and will soon get nerfed. Hence, if you want to experience the power of the TEC-9 before it is nerfed, you should do it quickly as Treyarch has already acknowledged the power of the weapon and a nerf may be in the works.
On the other hand, getting your hands on the weapon requires a lot of grinding as it’s available on Battle Pass Tier 31.
Until there is a nerf for TEC-9, the tide of the battle would be shifted to whoever possesses this weapon. To make the fight fair for everyone, the devs need to release a patch soon to nerf the weapon. At this stage, the game is not affected by it much as not many people have unlocked the weapon. But, in the coming days more and more people will get access to the weapon and for those that don’t, the game will simply not be fun.
