Dead Space is finally getting a much-awaited remake and it is releasing on January 27th. Dead Space Remake is going to be released on PC via steam and EA application, Playstation and Xbox.
Dead Space remake will follow the same story but with a little bit of a twist here or there. Dead Space will also feature the most iconic weapon of the Dead Space series, the Plasma Cutter. It is the first weapon and possibly one of the best weapons if upgraded properly.
In this guide, you will get to know how to make your best plasma cutter build and what upgrade to use.
Best Plasma Cutter Build in Dead Space remake
To make the best Plasma cutter, players first need to get it but it is not difficult because it is the first weapon that you will receive. At first, the Plasma cutter is an ok weapon but as the game progress and players start getting Power Nodes then the player can upgrade it and make it one of the best guns to dismember an enemy’s limbs.
So how can you upgrade your weapon? Unlike other weapons in Dead Space Remake, the plasma cutter doesn’t have any attachment and can only be upgraded through Power Nodes. Power nodes can be found in Dead Bodies, crates and specific rooms. Players will need to find the nearest workstation and start the upgrade process by using Power Nodes.
The Plasma Cutter has 4 main stats which can be upgraded:
- Damage
- Capacity
- Reload
- Speed
Note: Plasma Cutter requires 17 or 18 power nodes to fully upgrade it.
At the start of the game, players should upgrade damage as it will help players kill enemies with less ammunition and faster. But as the game progress, players will need to upgrade other essential stat like capacity and reload.
Capacity stat will increase the size of the weapon clip and players will have more bullets to shoot because in further chapters enemies won’t die in one hit and will require some plan and more ammo.
Reload stat will increase the speed of the reloading and make the gun reload faster. At first, this might seem less important but as the game progress enemies become smarter and start to dodge bullets and then you will every second spare to kill the enemy when the chance arrives.
Note: using stasis and plasma cutter together is the best combo a player can use as stasis will freeze the enemy and plasma cutter will dismember the enemy’s limbs.
So the best build would be giving Plasma Cutter’s Damage boost at the start and then upgrading all the stats together equally.
That’s all you need to know about the best build of Plasma Cutter. It is one of the iconic weapons of all time and still is powerful enough to sustain you for the whole playthrough. If you find this guide helpful, you can check our website for more such guides and news.
