Anemo units are surprisingly synergistic with Quicken teams due to their ability to spread the Electro element to the surrounding opponents with their Swirl reactions. Since Dendro doesn’t react with Anemo, but elements that react with Dendro do, a.k.a- Electro, Hydro, and Pyro, Anemo usually plays the role of CC and support in Dendro teams- especially Quicken teams.
This is because Pyro seeks to end your Dendro applications by causing Burning and Burgeon, which removes the Dendro element status from enemies. Despite dealing large amounts of damage, it’s detrimental for long runs and high HP enemies as you’ll have to re-apply Dendro. As for Hydro, it is a stubborn element as it doesn’t properly Swirl. Even though it spreads to other enemies, Hydro Swirls don’t deal damage, so it’s unfavorable. The only viable option thus remaining is the Electro element.
Best Anemo Units to Build for Quicken Teams
To get the best out of your Quicken teams, especially against mobs of enemies, Anemo comes in handy with its crowd control abilities and Swirl reaction support to spread the electro element around. Ideally, you’ll want characters who have powerful crowd control abilities and also buff your team with EM. With those in mind, here are the best Anemo units to build for Sumeru’s Dendro comps.
Sucrose
Sucrose has powerful and reliable crowd control utility with her E skill and burst. She also buffs your party with bonus EM. Additionally, she’s the only 4-star on this list because she is that reliable.
Kazuha
Kazuha is one of the best supports in the game due to his EM and elemental damage buff to his party members. Even though his crowd control abilities are weak, they are still reliable, and his burst has a wide AoE.
Venti
The Anemo Archon Venti remains the strongest Anemo unit due to his powerful crowd-controlling burst, which sucks in opponents from a wide area. Even though he doesn’t buff your party members with bonus EM, his CC abilities are powerful enough to keep enemies floating until they die.
If you’re confident in your dodging skills and want to maximize damage, then we recommend you go for either Sucrose or Kazuha. If you instead have difficulty dealing with tanky and powerful mobs and want just to clear the combat casually, then Venti’s your go-to best option. Players who already have these characters built must be lucky as they make things easier for Quicken teams.
