Back 4 Blood releases on the 12th of this month, but the game is already out on early access for players who preordered the Deluxe Edition of the game. Early players who jumped to play the game are reporting a key feature missing – the Fullscreen mode. It appears that the game does not have the Fullscreen mode. You have the two other modes you find in most games the Borderless Fullscreen and Windowed, but the exclusive Fullscreen mode is not there in the settings.
If you are wondering about a bug in the game; unfortunately, it’s not, the missing display mode is intentional by the developers.
While we do not have an update from the developers about the situation, but we hope that the devs hear the cry from the early access players about the Fullscreen mode. To be frank, we do not expect the mode to come to the game any time soon. At least, not on the 12th.
We hope that the devs prove us wrong and introduce the option with a day-one patch for the game, but until there you cannot enable the Fullscreen mode. You have to choose either the Borderless Fullscreen or Windowed modes.
The Borderless Fullscreen mode allows you to enjoy the game much like the Fullscreen, so it should not be much of a problem for the users. That’s all we have in this guide, we hope you now know everything about the missing Fullscreen mode in the game.
If you are comfortable fiddling with the game settings.ini files, you may be able to fix the fullscreen issue with the game. Here is what you need to do.
- Go to C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Back4Blood\Steam\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
- Locate and open GameUserSettings.ini
- Chagne the below lines
- FullscreenMode=0
- LastConfirmedFullscreenMode=0
- PreferredFullscreenMode=0
Once you do the above, you should be able to play the game in full-screen mode.
