The Assassin’s Creed franchise will be back next year with an epic experience that puts players in the shoes of Basim, a street thief in 9th-century Baghdad. The game is titled Assassin’s Creed Mirage and will be released in 2023. Ubisoft announced more details on this game at Ubisoft Forward last night. We also got a trailer showcasing some pivotal characters of this upcoming title.
Ubisoft is coming up with the final expansion to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla this year. The game will stop receiving any content following the “The Last Chapter” expansion. Leaks suggest that Mirage will be released as early as Spring 2023. Ubisoft is yet to give a release window/date.
However, the game is already available for pre-orders starting today. The good news is that Mirage will also launch on last-gen hardware. It will be available on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox One, and PC.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage pre-order details
Assassin’s Creed Mirage has three editions as of today. The standard edition will cost gamers $50, which is $20 less than a full-fledged title these days. The Deluxe edition will cost gamers $60, and the Collector’s Edition is priced at a hefty $150. Ubisoft + subscribers will get to play the game for free from the launch day. Currently, the subscription service has a free trial period until October 10.
Gamers who pre-order AC Mirage will be eligible for some bonuses in-game. Purchasing the game now will give players access to the Forty Thieves side mission. Apart from this mission, Ubisoft has also planned some retailer-exclusive bonuses. They are yet to be announced in the coming weeks.
Overall, Assassin’s Creed seems to be prepping itself for a complete overhaul with tons of content planned in the upcoming months and years. A total of four new games, a Netflix series, and an expansion were revealed at the event yesterday.
