Caldera wasn’t the first preference while choosing maps in Warzone, and for a lot of players, it was seen as quite a problematic map, especially the design aspects of it. Nevertheless, to improve the Battle Royale experience, there are going to be some tweaks in the following areas.
Peak
Players have found it difficult to play around Peak since the mountain was so oddly placed. To counter it, players will get Redeploy Balloons to help. Peak also becomes a harsher environment to play in, which is something that players have wanted for a while. They will also be able to explore the completely built structures around the area and make use of the ascenders to move around from floor to floor.
Lagoon
There is now going to be an easier way to access the rest of the island from Lagoon Lighthouse. Maybe there will be a different path altogether rather than taking the bridge to the center. You will also be able to farm some loot or hide from enemies by using the ships surrounding the area.
Runway
Besides the new darkened skies, there will also be new hangars and barracks, as well as some decommissioned planes, guard towers, and water towers that you can use to hide or survey the area. The foliage has been removed to increase visibility as well.
Dig Site
There is going to be a new POI, Dig Site, where players can dig out skeletal remains of colossal monsters that roamed the lands, as well try to get their hands on some Classified Arms. You can find the Dig Site wedged between the Ruins and Mines, where you can explore and uncover the secrets of the island. This is probably a tie-up made for the new Godzilla vs King Kong event.
These are all the changes that will take place on the Caldera map for Warzone. If you like this guide you can check out our other guides as well.
